This series of photographic works (begun 2004) explores the displacement of a drawing by its photographic image. The drawings, made in ink on paper, develop over extended periods of time. When finished they are photographed on 10”x 8” analogue film, allowing a high level of detail to be recorded. A negative print the same size as the originating drawing is made. The drawing is cast aside, allowing the final photographic work to present only its inverted ghost image.
