The Colour Separations play with colour and structural relationships through a reconfiguration of aspects of the Shiver series. The title ‘Colour Separation’ casts a glance at terms found in photographic printing methods. In these large watercolour and ink on paper works, colours exist separately but alongside, sometimes bleeding into each other. They cohere as a whole, cross pollinating through our perception and their interactions across the field of the paper, in space and in light.
